Lena Cerulli

Lena A. Cerulli, 85, of Allentown, passed away on Friday May 5, 2017. Lena was the wife of the late Mark J. Cerulli Sr. to whom she had been married for 63 years when he passed on July 17, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Domenico and Assunta (Corrieri) Scarcia. Lena worked for 20 yrs.for Kraft Foods in Fogelsville before retiring. Previously she worked at the Morning Call. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Allentown. Lena was an avid bowler, bowling at the Rose Bowl, and the Parkway Lanes. She loved all animals, and her favorite past time was attending to her wild birds and cats. Survivors: her daughters; Mary Ann wife of Nicholas Balascki of Allentown, and Victoria A. Cerulli wife of David Schumacher of Lower Macungie. Her brothers; Valentino and wife Janice of Whitehall, and Leno and wife Helene of Lower Macungie. A sister Eleanor Heffner in Chapmans. Lena's grandchildren are; Nick, Jane, and Mark. Additionally she is survived by many nieces and nephews. Lena was preceded in death by her son Mark J. II, and her siblings; Dino, Anthony and her twin sister Nancy Beitel on Marcy 13, 2016. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 10:00 am in St. Paul's Church, 2nd & Susquehanna Streets, Allentown. Calling will be on Wednesday from 8:30-9:45 am in the church. Contributions: In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to her church or to an Animal Rescue of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the O'Donnell Funeral Home, Allentown.
