Dr. Arthur Feldman

Dr. Arthur Lloyd Feldman of Pompano Beach Florida, passed away September 25, 2017. Dr. Feldman, or "Doc" as he was known around town, spent the majority of his medical career as a family physician caring for several generations of his beloved patients in Danielsville and the surrounding areas. Dr. Feldman grew up in Allentown, graduated from William Allen High School and later graduated from Muhlenberg College. He served his country in WW II in the Signal Corps, setting up communication systems in France. After discharge he married the love of his life Virginia, also from Allentown. He then followed his dream and completed medical school at The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduation and an internship at Allentown Osteopathic Hospital, he and Virginia set off to establish his practice in the rural town of Danielsville. This is where he spent most of his professional career and where he and Virginia raised their four children. Dr. Feldman reached the pinnacle of his medical career when he was elected by his peers as President of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Association. Upon his so called "retirement" to Florida, "doc" continued to practice part time and took great pride in teaching future physicians at Nova Southeastern University School of Medicine for 10 years. He and Virginia loved visiting their children and nine grandchildren. He loved to cook, although he always left a mess for Virginia to clean up. He also loved to golf with friends, was an avid writer of short stories and could often be found by the pool working at keeping his tan. He exercised regularly and will always be loved and remembered for his dry sense of humor, which often put smiles on the faces of his patients, friends and family. His presence will forever be missed. Survivors: Sons James of Allentown, Andrew of Deland, Florida, Thomas of Spring, Texas and daughter Lisa of Spring, Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren. Services: Services were held at Star of David Memorial Gardens in North Lauderdale, Fl.
