Ernest E. Nemeth, 79, of Bethlehem, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004, in the VNA Hospice of St. Lukes, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Joseph and Sarah (Laczo) Nemeth. He worked in the blast furnace division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. as a general turn foreman for 33 years before retiring in 1976. He was a life member of the Steel City Gun Club and the North End Wanderers Athletic Association. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of Hellertown American Legion Post 397. Survivors: Wife, Anna M. Nemeth; son, Ernest M. Nemeth, grandchildren, Judy and Michael, and great-grandchildren, Ava and Cole, all of Bethlehem; sister, Dorothy Morgan of Connorsville, Ind. He was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Paul, and Joseph, and a sister, Rose. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2004, Connell Funeral Home Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Call 9-10:30 a.m. Monday. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, to VNA Hospice of St. Lukes, 709 Delaware Ave., Bethlehem 18015.
