
Anna Margaret Holt Fowler MARION Mrs. Anna Margaret Holt Fowler, 82, passed away peacefully, Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at her home with her loving family at her side. Miss Margaret was a native of Madison County, born, June 18, 1930, one of 11 children born to Manley Holt and Dossie Marcum Holt. Growing up in such a large, loving family set the stage for how she would ultimately care for, love and enjoy the company of her own family. She also enjoyed Gospel music, sewing, watching golf on television and generally staying busy doing things. Shopping was one of those things and she liked nothing better than to get her sisters together for an outing in the stores. She was a member of West Marion Baptist Church. Her husband of 60 years, Wilford "Jim" Fowler, preceded her in death, just last Sept. Her son, Donald J. "Jimmy" Fowler; three brothers, Don, Bill and Markie Holt; and a sister, Maxine Martin, also preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Janie Wallin and husband, Mitch, and Louann Dellinger and husband, Herb, all of Marion; two brothers, Gary Holt, of Hickory and Van Holt, of Granite Falls; four sisters, Mary Renfro, of Lincoln Park, Mich., Ruby Holland, of Granite Falls, Terri Holt Berry, of Fort Mill, S.C., and Deborah Holt Gentrym of Henderson-ville; three grandchildren, Jonathan Wallin and his fianc‚, Chandler Davis, of Wilmington, Jennifer Wallin Keeney and husband, David, of Raleigh, and Kurt Dellinger and his special friend, Jessyca Gardin, of Marion; two great-grandchildren, Julia Dellinger and Thomas Keeney; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. in Westmore-land Chapel with Mr. Paul Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in McDowell Memorial Park. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated.
