Frances Draper

Frances Denean Singleton McFalls Robinson Draper NEBO Frances "Fran" Draper, 45, passed from this world and stepped into her eternal home Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at the Hospice House of Rutherford County. Fran was born Oct. 25, 1967, one of seven children raised by the late James Coy Robinson and Maude Crowder Singleton. She was a Housing Counselor with the Section 8 Housing arm of the Isothermal Planning and Development Commission until she became unable to continue in that capacity due to her declining health. Fran was a loving wife, mother and sister and will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. She was a sensible and practical lady and liked the simpler things in life, which was exemplified by her love of animals and the care and love she showed them. She leaves behind her husband, Stan Draper and a son, Cody McFalls, both of Nebo; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Dowdle and husband, Caly, of Glenwood; four siblings, Frankie Singleton and wife, Tonya of Lexington, Tina Lowery and husband, Joel Suehr, of Parsons, Tenn., Bobby Singleton, of Salem, Ore., Darrell Singleton, of Avery County, Donna Gale Sullins and husband, Dean, of Spruce Pine and Joey Singleton, of Avery County; and a number of nieces and nephews. A service in celebration of her life will be held Friday, Dec. 14, in Westmoreland Chapel, with the Rev. John Baker officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery in Avery County.
