Paul Brigmon

Paul Brigmon OLD FORT Paul Brigmon, 73, of Old Fort, passed away, Thursday, Feb. 1, 2012, at McDowell Hospital. He was born Sept. 13, 1938, in Buncombe County, to the late Grover Brigmon and Nancy Jenkins Brigmon. He was member of Catawba Falls Baptist Church. Paul was a loving husband, daddy, brother, paw, and friend. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Brown Brigmon; five brothers, Jack, John, Jake, Bill, and Ralph; and one sister, Mary. He is survived two daughters and one son, Kathy Wolfe, Christopher Paul Brigmon, and Elizabeth Brigmon Taylor and husband, Robert E. Taylor, all of Old Fort; three sisters and one brother, Anne Gaddy and Betty McKinney, both of Barnardsville, Peggy Brigmon Stewart of Swannanoa, and Bobby "Bud" Brigmon and wife, Editha, of Vidalia, Ga.; four grandchildren, Ashley Danielle McGhee, Samuel Jonathan Brig-mon, Robert Paul Taylor, and Christopher Taft Brigmon; two great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Jean Brigmon and Taylor Jade Brigmon; and a special niece, Mildred "Plute" Gaddy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Kirksey Old Fort Chapel with Revs. Phillip Wishon and Kenneth VanBuskirk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cherry Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
