Mary J. Aguiar, 89, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Tracy, CA. A 53 year resident of Tracy, Mary was born November 7, 1924 in Newman, CA to the late Frank M. & Philemina Costa.
She leaves behind daughter, Jeanne Gordon and husband Joe; and son Jack Aguiar all of Tracy. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.
Mary worked at Walt's Drive-In for many years; she then went to work for Heinz Cannery and retired after nearly 20 years of service. She and her husband Jack loved to go out dancing, and she especially enjoyed playing cards with her great granddaughter Kristen. Mrs. Aguiar was a member of the Tenetts Ladies Club and the ladies VFW.
Ms. Aguiar was preceded in death by her husband Joaquin "Jack" Aguiar, children Sheri Baker, Rene alexander and Joe Aguiar. Siblings Frank V. Costa, Manuel Costa, Joquian Costa, Joe Garcia, John Garcia.
Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 South Central Avenue, is honored to serve the Aguiar family. A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, 10:30 am in Fry's Chapel, followed by a Prayer service at 11:00 am. Burial will immediately follow at Tracy Public Cemetery.
