Rosalio Leal was born on August 30, 1924 in General Bravo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Prajeres and Belen Leal. He passed away on February 22, 2014 in Merced, CA at the age of 89.
Rosalio is preceded in death by his parents Prajeres and Belen Leal, brothers Quintin and Domingo Leal, sister Graciela Leal and by his son Jose R. Leal.
He is survived by his wife Obilia Leal, son Rosalio Leal Jr., daughter Idalia Leal, grandson Rosalio Leal III, granddaughter Salina Belen Leal and Rosalio Leal IV, one of six great grandchildren. Also locally, sister Socorro and Alberto Laurel, nephew Juan and Manuela Laurel and niece Elizabeth Laurel. In New Mexico, sister Idalia Casares. In Texas, sister Frances and Marcelino Garcia. In Mexico, sister Maria de Jesus Leal and brother Blas and Carmen Leal.
A visitation will take place on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Whitton Family Funeral Service, 740 W. 19th St. in Merced from 4:00 - 7:00 PM. Rosary will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9:30 AM with Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00 AM. Burial to follow at Merced District Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whitton Family Funeral Service in Merced.
