Behn, Margarita - Merced  
Margarita G. Behn, age 84, a resident of Merced passed away Saturday, November 14, 2015. She was born on October 28, 1931 to the late Vicente and Margarita Garcia. Margarita loved her family especially her grandchildren. She was known as "Granny Goose" to her great grandchildren. Margarita has filled our hearts with a lifetime of loving memories. Margarita leaves to cherish her memory her son, Ronald (Molly) Behn; her daughter, Teresa (Jeff) Horta; Grandchildren: Bryan (Lesli) Behn, Brendan (Erika) Behn, Erin (Jeremy) Franklin, Regan (John) Green, Matt (Terra) Horta, Julien Bell and Sarah Bell; Margarita is further survived by 8 great grandchildren and sisters: Lupe Cardenas, Helen Del Canto and Vicky Winebrenner. In addition to her parents, Vicente and Margarita Garcia she is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Behn. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 with a Mass of Christian Burial immediately following at 10:00 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Chuch in Merced. The burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Merced.

Branco, Daniel (Dan) - Chowchilla  
Daniel (Dan) H. Branco June 18, 1931 to November 16, 2015 Daniel (Dan) H. Branco, 84, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 after a short stay in the hospital. Dan was born on June 18, 1931 to Joseph V. and Clara Branco.  He had three brothers and a sister and was raised in Merced, Ca.  He moved to Chowchilla in 1952. Dan lived his life on his terms, always with his family in mind. He loved being with his kids and grandkids while keeping his horse close by with a rope in hand.  He was a man of his word and a handshake meant everything.  He instilled that characteristic in his children.  He met Florence Maddalena in 1949 and they married in 1952 just before he was drafted. Dan is survived by his wife Florence, son Steve (Kathy); daughter Dana Jo; son Larry (Jodi); grandson Sam (Vanessa) great-granddaughter  Kate; grandson Stan (fiancé Nikki, son Ray); and grandson Roy.  Also by all the special ones who affectionately called him "grandpa".  His brother Eddie (Lee) also several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Dan was proceeded in death by his brothers Stanley Branco, Lloyd Branco and sister Virginia Meyer. Cowboying was always something that Dan loved doing, spent a lot of time in the practice pen as well as competing in the PRCA and Senior rodeos.  With his sons, daughter-in-laws and grandsons as well as numerous friends.  Dan and a few of his friends were the original founders of the Chowchilla Western Stampede. A funeral mass will be held at St Columba Catholic Church, 213 Orange St. Chowchilla, CA  93610 on Monday November 30, 2015 at 10am.  Interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in his name to a charity of your choice.

Bruen, Natalie - Merced  
Natalie Bruen passed away on Wednesday, November 18.  She was born June 2, 1933 to Joe and Maria Pedrozo in Livingston, California.  Natalie was raised in Merced, California. After attending Merced High School, she worked for Farmer's Insurance Company for 20 years. It is there that she met her husband, George.  They married in 1971. After their daughter Katie was born in 1974, Natalie decided to stay home and be a full-time wife and mother.  Natalie was active in Our Lady of Mercy School, Merced High Cheerleaders and various ministries at St. Patrick's Church.  She was a devout Catholic and lived her faith.  She was most proud of her granddaughters, Molly and Grace.  There was never a time that "Nanny" would not drop everything to take the train to see or care for them.  She is survived by her daughter Katie Ensor; granddaughters, Molly and Grace; sister Mary Szymanski; brother, Ted Pedrozo(Margaret); and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bruen and brothers, Florian and Ted Pedrozo.  A visitation will be held on Monday, November 23rd from 2:00pm until 7:00pm at Ivers & Alcorn in Merced.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 24 at Our Lady of Mercy Church on 21st Street and Canal in Merced, CA; Rosary at 9:30; Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am.  Internment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in memory of Natalie can be made to Our Lady of Mercy School at 1400 East 27th Street, Merced, CA 95340.

Byrd, Kaison - Los Banos  
KAISON INDIGO BYRD JULY 14, 1996-NOV. 16, 2015 Kaison Indigo Byrd, 19 years old, was born at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View in 1996. After living several years in the SF Bay Area and Central Oregon, he relocated to Los Banos in 2002.  He moved to Hollister at the beginning of high school, but chose to return to Los Banos in order attend Pacheco High School during his Senior Year, graduating in 2014.   Kaison worked in the fast food business since he was sixteen and was a member of  the Youth Conservation Corp at the San Luis Wildlife Refuge.  Although, his true passion was music and  "making beats", his true gift was lighting even the darkest rooms with his abundance of selfless love, compassion, and infectious humor. Kaison is survived by his father, Johnny Byrd (LaRae Huston), and his mother Ixchelle Jurado-Keldsen (Tim Keldsen); his siblings, Brittany Byrd and Sean Thomas; Grandparents:  John and Linda Curtis, Suzan Byrd, and John Rea, Sr., but will be missed by all who have known him. On Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel in Los Banos, there will be a visitation at 11:00 am and a Celebration of Life will begin at noon including an open forum for anybody with the desire to share some of their favorite memories of Kai.   Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapels~Los Banos.
