DARRYL MCCARTHY Obituary
Our beloved Darryl went to heaven on October 13, 2010. He was born in Topeka, Kansas to his loving parents James and Dorothy McCarthy. He was 48 years old and resided in Winton for 27 years. Darryl graduated from Atwater High School in 1981. He worked for Hansen Furniture Store for 10 years and was owner of D & T Custom Cabinets.
Darryl was a very loving husband, father, son and brother. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family going camping, boating, dirt biking or just getting together for a family b-b-que. Darryl's sons Justin and Nicholas were his pride and joy. He loved racing modified midgets, skiing and watching Nascar. He was a true craftsman turning ordinary wood into beautiful pieces of artwork which many enjoy in their homes.
He will be missed by many and will remain in our hearts forever. We love you.
Darryl was preceded in death by his wife Christi Marie McCarthy.
Darryl is survived by his sons Justin Michael McCarthy and Nicholas Joseph McCarthy. Also surviving Darryl are his parents James Stephen and Dorothy Jean McCarthy, his sisters Karen Jones, Donna Whittaker, Cheryl McCarthy-Lopez and his brother Rory McCarthy.
A public visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 20th of 2010 in the Chapel of Ivers & Alcorn Funeral Home in Atwater. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 21st of 2010 also at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Winton District Cemetery in Winton, California.

My dear sweet brother. You are in my mind from the time I wake up till I fall asleep each and every day. I love & miss you so very much and there are no real words to describe what I feel. I will always be here for Justin and Nicky and they always have a place in my home. You may be gone but will never be forgotten.
