JOHN DYE Obituary
John C. Dye, a resident of Atwater for 20 years, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced, California at the age of 94. He was born to the late John Henry and Lela Jane (Jenkins) Dye in Vardaman, Mississippi.
John enjoyed a full life, he was a graduate of Vardaman Mississippi High School. He served his Country proudly by enlisting as a CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) and later received an honorable discharge after 20 years of service in the United States Navy and rating as an Aviaton Machinist Mate and ranking Chief E7 and he also served 10 years in fleet reserve. John was a member of the Masonic Lodge in San Jose, CA. He worked in the plumbing and construction business for 10 years.
John is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Mrs. Ruth Dye, his daughter Linda Kohn and her husband Jerry, his granddaughter Julie Goodman and her husband Jeff, his grandson Christopher Kohn, his great-granddaughter Emily Goodman and his great-grandson Ethan Goodman.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the organization of your choice in his name.
Funeral services will be private.
