DOMENICO BOSCOLO Obituary

Dec 24, 1955 ~ Sept 15, 2010

Long time resident and business owner, Domenico Boscolo, passed away on Wednesday, September 15th, 2010. He was born on December 24th, 1955 in San Francisco. He was 54 years old. Domenico was diagnosed earlier this year with esophageal cancer and after 7 short months he could not fight any longer. After graduating from Atwater High School in 1974, Domenico left home for a very short period of time. He then decided that Atwater is where he wanted to be and came home to begin running the family business side by side with his father, Tarcisio.

Domenico is survived by his three sisters Ida Marie Sadusky, Sonia Kessler, and Dina Brogden. Their parents opened Tary Boscolo's Pizzeria and Italian Restaurant 50 years ago. Domenico has been running the business on his own for over 30 years. His parents would be proud of what he has accomplished. He was a great employer, a great brother, and a great friend to many people.

The restaurant was his life and now we ask you to come celebrate Domenico's life with us at the place he spent most of his days, and nights, Tary's. Join us on Sunday, October 10th, 2010 anytime between 10:00am and 2:00pm at 351 Atwater Blvd. It will be a modest celebration with plenty of pizza. If you have a favorite dish; please feel free to bring it to share.

To the Boscolo Family, I have known you my whole life. I grew up with Dina and remember watching the young gorgeous Italian big brother Dominico as a child and thinking he was larger than life. He had such charisma and charm much like his dad. I feel very sad that this family lost such a pillar in their family. I love respect and adore each one of you and I know that you are sad. The last time I saw Domenico was when he stored some extra birthday cake in the Pizzaria for a friend...he playfully reached in and took a heaping fingerful and tasted with his mischievous smile... What a gorgeous guy. Rest in Peace my friend. You were very loved .

My condolences to the Boscolo family and to all those, whose lives he touched. I went to school with Dom starting in the forth grade. I know he will be missed. To this day I always brag about his family's pizza as the best I've ever eaten! Rest in peace,FRIEND.

It has been many years since I had the pleasure of seeing Domenic (or eating one of his pizzas!) but I do remember this, he was a wonderful, kind, sweet (and not to mention, handsome!) man who made an impression on all he met. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family. May you take solace in knowing what a fine person he was and that he touched so many lives through his kindness.

A loving down to earth man who not only was a great boss but was a great friend. Myself as well as a handful of my cousins had the honor of working for him. He will be forever be missed but I hope the family can take a moment to smile knowing that Domenic unknowingly helped raise and mold a family of hard headed boys into a bunch of young men understanding of what it is to truly be happy and be at peace with yourself.
