DOUGLAS SCHALOW Obituary
Doug Schalow passed away peacefully August 4, 2010. He was 74.
Born to Sylvia Galeria and Milton Schalow he was raised in Atwater, California. After high school he moved to Monterey and had a successful career in painting, construction, and retired from the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. Upon retirement he moved to Darwin, CA. to be close to friends and the desert he loved. An avid tennis player and wonderful conversationalist, who could talk with anyone and frequently did, he enjoyed life and his close friends.
He will be deeply missed by his companion Miriam Marvel, close friends, and cousins; Susan Page, Bob Galeria, and Steve Galeria. Private services will be held with family and closest friends.
