PETE JOHN BATCHKOFF

Pete was born on September 9, 1957 at the Japanese Hospital in Los Angeles, CA., but grew up in Chowchilla, CA. After a brief 53 years, he was taken to be with Jesus on September 30, 2010.

Pete graduated from Chowchilla High School in 1975 and spent most of his adulthood working in the laboratory for Anderson Clayton. He was a unique man, an amazing father and a great friend. He enjoyed nature, the outdoors, gold panning and art. He will be missed every day.

Pete is survived by his mother, Pearl Batchkoff of Chowchilla. His children Sharee O'Brien and husband Jimmy of Coarsegold, Shannon Batchkoff-Garcia and husband Christopher of Fresno and his grandchildren Brandon and Bryson O'Brien. He is also survived by his sisters Nora Batchkoff of South Lake Tahoe, Luba Rabbiosi and husband Gene of Chowchilla, brother Johnny Batchkoff, also of Chowchilla and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who he loved. Pete is preceded in death by his father, John Batchkoff.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 11a.m. at the Chowchilla District Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Palm Memorial Worden Chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions may be made to Yosemite National Park.
