PETER BRON Obituary

July 23, 1927 ~ September 11, 2010

Peter Bron was born July 23, 1927 in Friesland , Holland and passed away on September 11, 2010 after fighting a courageous battle with lymphoma. He was a loving husband, dad and papa and wasn't ready "to throw in the towel. " Peter was raised as a dairyman. In 1951, he married the love of his life, Ramona. They raised their family on the dairy and in 1975 they moved to a farm in Merced. He lived by the "school of Hardknocks," and was fortunate to become a successful property owner in the Merced area. One of Peter's favorite hobbies in addition to building, and enjoying his family at their Cayucos beach houses, was yard sale searching. His creative mind was able to seek treasure in rejected items and restore antiques.

He is survived by his wife Ramona, and children, David Bron, Annamarie Brown, Margaret Weber, and Jennifer Fisher; and son-in-laws, Joel Weber and Larry Fisher. He also has ten grandchildren, Matthew, Joe, and Mark Bron, Jennifer, Carmen and Maraynne Brown, Peter and Benjamin Weber, and Chadwick and Sophia Fisher. He has four great-grandchildren with several on the way.

A Graveside Service will be held at Merced District Cemetery on Wednesday, September 15, at 10 am.
