Antonio Aguiar passed away in Gustine, CA after a short respiratory illness and other complications at the age of 87.
Tony was born in Fall River, Massachusetts and was raised in San Miguel in the Azores until the family moved back to the US just prior to WWII.
He was a man of faith and had a great passion for the Knights of Columbus. A past President, 4th Degree Knight, Color Guard and very active member, he fundraised for Portuguese "Festas" throughout Northern California as well as walked in many of the parades.
Antonio is predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents Francisco and Mary Aguiar, and siblings: Georgianna Aguiar, Elsie Nava (Ernest), and Mary Teixeirra (Louis).
He is survived by his brother Angelo Aguiar (Patti); his loving children: Anthony (Tina), Andy (Barbara), MaryAnn Pimentel (John); and will be missed by many nieces, nephews and granchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 1st 8:30-9:30 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel, 1840 Center Ave., Los Banos. The Rosary and Funeral Mass will begin at 10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1621 Center Ave, Los Banos.
On Friday, May 2nd, a private burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, CA. Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~Los Banos.
