Moises Gonzalez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle, passed away on July 10, 2014.
He was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, came to the U.S. as a child, volunteered for the Korean War and became a U.S. citizen in 1961.  Moises had a successful career as an optical technician and horologist.  Moises was the adored husband of 57 years to Margaret Gonzalez.  Along with Margaret, he leaves behind daughters Lupe and Linda, son Hector, daughter-in-law, Gail, grandchildren Raymond, Vanessa and Amber, as well as great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
We hope that he is remembered for his love of family, 49ers, SF Giants and time pieces. Moises had great character and a formidable spirit. He will be missed.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel in Los Banos beginning at 5:00 p.m.; the rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m..  On Monday, July 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., the funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.  Burial will be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine at 12:30 p.m..  Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~Los Banos.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, to benefit veterans.
