Longtime Resident of Oakland
Beloved wife of Orville K. Mitchell Sr. for 63 years who preceded her in death in 1998, dear mother to Orville K. Mitchell Jr. (Joan) and Joy B. Weiss (Robert), amazing grandmother to Lane Weiss (Teri), Mike Mitchell (Sue), Jeri Barnes (Doug), Shelli Kearns (John), Gini Weiss, and Dennis Mitchell, daughter of August and Emma Kurtz, also survived by many loving relatives who called her Aunt Bee. Great -grandmother of 13, great-great grandmother of 3. Most important to Berniece was her love of family and time spent with them. She enjoyed baking pies and cookies, picking fruit, cooking, her large collection of family photos and home movies, sewing, and had a love of beauty and nature. She and Orville delivered daffodils for the Cancer Society.
Viewing Saturday Dec 8 9 AM - 11 AM at Alameda Family in Saratoga followed by a family graveside service at Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland, CA.
In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice in Berniece's name is appreciated.

I have so many great memories of you and grandpa.....what a gift that we had you both in our lives for so long. I know Grandpa, Robert and Kyle are with you now.
And Lane is right, Heaven did just get another Angel and is a better place! I hope you can pick fruit in Heaven!
