Bob (age 88) passed away on July 8, 2017 in Sunnyvale, California. Born in Bloomington, Illinois February 23, 1929 to parents Dorothy and Alfred Erdman. Married Yvonne Fisher, October 21, 1950. Survived by his spouse, their children: Daughter, Julia Ann Erdman, Son, Erik Fisher Erdman and, Grandchildren, Jonathan Robert and Melissa Ann Erdman and Daughter-in-law, Kellee Erdman.
He attended Illinois Wesleyan University and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1957 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Prior to attending the University of Illinois, he served in the US Army. After working as an engineer with Univac and Control Data in Minnesota, he was employed in marketing and sales with Memorex and Verbatim corporations in California. Upon retirement, he served as a volunteer at the Hiller Aviation Museum.
At his request there will be a private family celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hiller Aviation Museum, Hospice of the Valley, or to the University of Illinois Foundation, Department of General Engineering, Urbana, Illinois or a charity of choice.
