Memorial Services will be held at the Morgan Hill Presbyterian Church, 16970 De Witt Avenue, Morgan Hill, CA 95037 at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 28, 2013.
Duane was born in Olympia, WA. He graduated from the University of Washington in June of 1956 with his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Two weeks later he married Harriet Lee Hastie in Spokane, WA and they headed east to establish their first home in Detroit, MI. They headed back to the west coast in 1961 where they raised two daughters. Duane retired from Lockheed Martin in 1996, and they moved to Gilroy. Duane was a talented musician. He played the accordion and baritone ukulele. He also sang in the Gavilan Choir.
He died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 21, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Harriet of 57 years, his sister Dorothy Jabon, his two daughters and son-in-law; Kathie and Curtis Murray & Donna and Tim Hutcheson; and 5 grandchildren; Alex, Kyle and Evan Mulch, Samuel and Nicole Hutcheson.

I remember the time we asked Duane to bring his accordian over and play with our bluegrass group. He did great! Duane was also a good singer in Gavilan Choir. A very dedicated and kind gentleman.

I will always have fond memories of sitting at your kitchen table and Duane helping me with math. He was a kind and thoughtful man! Hugs and prayers to you all!!
