Florencio Orprecio Baldevarona, Sr. Nov. 9, 1926 – Dec. 18, 2014 Resident of San Jose Born on November 9, 1926, entered into eternal rest on December 18, 2014. Loving husband to Soledad Nano, brother to Pacifico, Trinidad, Tomas, Evangelina, and Benjamin, caring and supportive father to Alexander, Lemuel, Joseph, Florencio Jr., and Francis (Leticia), loving Papa to Amanda, and an instant friend to all he met. Friends are invited to attend a Chapel Service on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at LIMA-CAMPAGNA-ALAMEDA MISSION CHAPEL, 600 S. Second Street, San Jose, with Visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. Graveside Service on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, 490 Lincoln Street, Santa Clara. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or your local hospice charity.

Bernardi, Nancy - Santa Cruz  
Nancy Bernardi Nov. 17, 1934 - Dec. 13, 2014 Resident of San Jose Nancy Bernardi was born in San Francisco, California to James and Thelma Dewey. Nancy had many interests-- art, science, nature, camping, bicycling, river rafting, race walking, dogs, cooking, baking, gardening, animals and animal rights, protecting nature, preserving our urban creeks, and rescuing abandoned dogs and cats. A graduate of San Jose State University, Nancy received her B.A. with Distinction in Fine Art in 1977. Nancy was a driving force on the Board of Directors at the Guadalupe-Coyote Resource Conservation District for protecting our urban creeks and wildlife, and was instrumental in protecting the Guadalupe River from concrete channelization. Nancy passed away peacefully in Santa Cruz. Her husband Carl preceded her in passing in 1998. She is survived by her son Rick, of Portland, Oregon, her daughter Donna, of Felton, California, her brother Richard Dewey, of San Francisco, her Sister-in-Law Janet Dewey of San Francisco, her nephew Michael Dewey, of San Francisco, her Sister-in-Law Rita Dolio, of Madera, California, her nephew Ron Dolio of Madera, California, and her niece Debbie Servidio of Hobbs, New Mexico. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Friday, December 19 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 20101 McKean Rd., San Jose. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made in her name to the Center for Biological Diversity.

Blanchard, Bruce G. "Wheda" - San Jose  
Bruce G. Blanchard "Wheda" San Jose and Los Gatos Born in Hawaii, Bruce grew up in Los Gatos. He was a graduate of San Jose State University and worked in the electronics industry for 40 years. Bruce loved to golf, go fishing, and hunt for seashells on the beach. At the time of his passing he had been married for 34 years and raised two daughters. He is survived by his wife Linda Scott, his daughters Lindsay Sills and Chani Allen, and seven beautiful grandchildren. Please contact the family for service information.

Brooks, Marilyn - San Jose  
Marilyn Brooks Mar 26, 1939 - Dec 15, 2014 Resident of San Jose Marilyn Brooks passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband at her side on December 15. She was born on March 26, 1939 in Grafton, ND to Herman and Mary Fisher. She married Billie Brooks on May 6, 1961 and they moved to the South Bay in 1964 where they raised 2 children. Marilyn worked as a secretary for Franklin McKinley School District for 21 years. She was a long standing member of the Willow Glen and Los Gatos Moose Clubs where she held the highest degree, College of Regents. In addition, she belonged to the Purplelicious Plums with Pizzaz Red Hat Society. She also devoted much of her time volunteering at St Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 53 years, Billie Brooks; her daughter Jonette Oneto (Ed); her son, Rodney Brooks; her step-grandson, Tony Oneto; her brothers, Kempis Fisher, and Gary Fisher (Rose); and many friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12pm on Saturday, December 20 at St Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 2980 Senter Road, San Jose.

William Earl Brown Aug. 2, 1942 - Nov. 20, 2014 Soquel, CA & Reno, NV Beloved father, husband, volunteer, and evangelist Bill Brown passed away suddenly in his home in Reno, Nevada on Nov. 20 A memorial service will be held at the Congregational Church of Soquel, on December 27th at 2 pm. All who knew Bill are invited to attend. Bill is survived by his wife Nancy Stevens-Brown, and his daughter, Rosie Brown.
