Robert Francis Bernal, D.D.S. June 26, 1932 - April 28, 2015 Resident of San Jose Beloved husband of Nancy for 56 years. Preceded in death by his son John Robert. Father of Paul (Mary Carol), Matthew (Susan), Ann Stea (Dominick), Thomas, and Mark (Kaela). Father in law of Catherine Bernal Bloyd. Grandfather of Mary Cate, Annie, Mary Clare, Elizabeth, Robert, Joaquin, John, Christine, Mary Rose, Grace, Declan, Aidan, Diego, and Caroline Bernal and Dante and Betsy Stea. Brother to Joan Pirnik. Family and friends are invited to attend Vigil and Rosary Service Sunday, May 3, 7:30 p.m and Funeral Mass Monday, May 4, 10:00 a.m. All services at St Christopher Church 1576 Curtner Ave., San Jose. Memorial contributions to Bellarmine College Preparatory and Presentation High School.

Davis, Faye Craig Monday - San Jose  
Faye Craig Monday Davis April 1, 1921 - April 8, 2015 Resident of San Jose Faye Craig Monday Davis peacefully left us on April 8th. She was one week past her 94th birthday. She graduated from Nordhoff High School in Ojai, and later obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Teaching Credential from what is now the University of California, Santa Barbara. While teaching in Burbank following her graduation, she met Earl C. Monday, who was at that time serving in an Army in the Los Angeles area. They married in 1943. She then accepted a teaching position in Bakersfield, where she taught for more than 40 years. Faye spent most of her career at Beardsley School in Oildale, where she taught generations of children in Kindergarten, third grade, and later as a Reading Specialist. When Earl passed away in 1981, Faye officially retired but continued to teach on a part-time basis. In 1988, Faye married Dick Davis and relocated to San Jose, California. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, her sister Joyce, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. A Celebration of her life will be held at St. John's Chapel, 1490 Mark Thomas Drive, Monterey, CA., at 11:00 on Saturday, May 2nd. Internment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bakersfield at 2:00 on Friday, May 8th. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that remembrances of Faye Craig Monday Davis may be made to the "SJSU Alumni Association Dean's Scholarships, for the Connie L. Lurie College of Education" in care of San Jose State University.

DeShields, Albert (Britt) - Campbell  
Albert (Britt) DeShields April 15, 1931 - April 16, 2015 Resident of Campbell Albert passed peacefully surrounded by his devoted wife of 61 years Helen (Fierrro) DeShields. He was a loving Father to Alan DeShields, Sharon (DeShields) Murrell and Britt DeShields. Father-in-law to Pat, Doug Murrell and Jaé DeShields. He was an amazing Grandpa to Jerett and Robert Blaskey. A wonderful Step Grandpa & Great Grandpa to (Kiet, Shalyn, Christina, Alissa, Diego and Mateo) A memorial service will be held at Darling-Fischer Campbell Memorial Chapel, 231 E Campbell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008 on Saturday, May 9th, at 11:00am. Friends and Family are invited to celebrate Albert's life immediately following at the Elk's Lodge 444 W Alma Ave, San Jose, CA 95110 A Private Burial Service will be held.

Dresser, Duane Woodward - San Mateo  
Duane Woodward Dresser Resident of Greenville, DE Duane Woodward Dresser, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Duane was born in Glendale, California, the fourth son of William E. Dresser and Winifred Trotter Dresser. Duane grew up in South Pasadena, California where he attended its public schools graduating from South Pasadena High School in 1946. He attended the University of California at Berkeley where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and the Naval ROTC. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in 1950 he was also commissioned as an ensign in the United States Navy. His subsequent three years of naval service took him to Japan and Korea during the Korean War. Upon release from active naval service Duane enrolled in the University of California's Hastings College of Law from which he graduated in 1956 with a Doctor of Laws degree. After a year as a law clerk for the California Supreme Court, Duane practiced law in San Francisco for forty five years until he retired in 2002. In 1955 Duane married Lois Gagnebin and they lived in San Mateo County from 1957 until moving to Delaware in 2012. Duane was an active member of the Episcopal Church of St. Matthew, the Peninsula Tennis Club, the UC Berkeley Alumni Club of the Peninsula, and the UC Berkeley NROTC Alumni. In addition to his parents, Duane is predeceased by his brothers; William and Robert. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lois, his brother John, and his children Duane W. Dresser, Jr., Dr. Lee Potter Dresser, and Martha Dresser Irons, five grandsons, and one granddaughter. Services are private.
