Alfred entered into eternal rest the evening of May 18, 2014 in Reno NV. He was a native of Mountain View, CA.
Born September 4, 1935, the son of the late Battista and Mary Ottaviano. He attended Mtn. View High School, graduating in 1953. Following High School, he attended San Jose State College, earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering and completed the Air Force ROTC program. He graduated in 1958.
He was then commissioned into the United States Air Force, January 29 1959, at the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He served for 22 years and 9 months, awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross before retiring as Lieutenant Colonel on March 24, 1982. Alfred is survived by his Daughter, Liana, Son-in-law, Peter, Granddaughter, Vinna (of Bend Oregon), Brother, James Ottaviano of Mountain View, CA, Sisters Lucy Bauer of Santa Clara, CA and Stella Mignano of Cottonwood, CA., 10 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service and Air Force Honors ceremony at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Dr., Los Altos on Sat., June 21, 2014 at 10am.
