Cindy Lou Spohr passed away peacefully at her home in Half Moon Bay on March 17th, 2014. She battled breast cancer with all her energy and fought a very brave battle.
Cindy graduated from Homestead High School in Cupertino in 1975 and received a degree in Pharmacy Technology from Foothill College. She grew up in Sunnyvale and moved to Half Moon Bay with her husband Howard Cespedes after they married in 2004.
Cindy enjoyed music and played flute and piccolo in the marching band in High school which she really enjoyed, including marching in a parade at Disneyland.
Cindy had a great love of the large African cats and took great joy from her two Bengal house cats and two Savannah's, Tasi, Tika, Temo and Tuli.
She worked at Stanford Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center of San Jose. Her last position was with Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City. She was well respected and loved by her co-workers.
Cindy loved to travel and visited Alaska, Germany, the Caribbean and especially loved Maui. She was also a frequent visitor to Lake Tahoe and it was very special to her when her husband proposed to her there.
She is survived by her husband Howard Cespedes, her sister Sharon Sampson, and her niece Candice Sampson. She is in heaven now with her mother Valerie and father George.
Services will be held at the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church located at 728 W Fremont Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94087, on April 5th, 2014 at 2:00 PM, with reception to follow at Memorial Park in Cupertino.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Susan G Komen breast cancer fund.
