Eleanor is survived by: two daughters, Linda Sanders and Caroline Blanz, a brother, Dan Aronsen, and many other relatives that she loved very much. Eleanor was a real long time pioneer of Cupertino California. She moved to Cupertino in 1923 at age 5 and grew up on a farm with a large apricot orchard.
Eleanor C. Holt "Aronsen" was born to Halfdan and Hermila Aronsen in Oakland, CA. Eleanor had a sister, Thelma Dubel, who died in 2006. Eleanor married Jack Holt, and they enjoyed 40 wonderful years. Eleanor worked at NASA
, Ames Research Center, for 30 years. Eleanor was a dedicated volunteer. Every-where she went she would talk to people and make new friends. Eleanor was always smiling and enjoying her life.
A Celebration of Life will be held December 14, 2PM at Chateau Cupertino in Cupertino. A Memorial Service will be planned for next March. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Union Church of Cupertino, Cupertino Rotary Endowment Foundation, Cookie Hoover Scholarship Fund at De Anza College, or the Santa Clara Humane Society.
