Harold passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the age of 89.
Hal was born in Oregon City, Oregon to the late Edna and Alexander Schroetlin. He moved into California, living in Santa Barbara and Salinas. He graduated from San Jose High School in 1941.
He served in the Air Force from 1943 until 1946 as a Radio Security Operator until his honorable discharge as a Corporal.
He then went to work for P.G. E. as a Map Draftsman for 35 years. That is where he met and married Mary Lopez. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past June.
They then retired to Magalia in Northern California but moved back to San Jose several years ago.
He is survived by 3 children: Bruce (Carol) and Jim (Sandra) Schroetlin and Dianne (Keith) Pusateri as well as 3 grandchildren; Amy, Thomas and Brianne. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Joe (Pam) Lopez along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad enjoyed camping, gardening and fishing. Dad, we hope you are camping and fishing at some lake in Heaven. Save us a spot!
The family wishes to thank Stonebrook Health Center and Odyssey Hospice for Dad's care in his last months. You are truly Angels!
