James Sparacino passed away peacefully on July 6, 2014 at Willow Glen Center in San Jose. James was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Vincenzo and Josephine Sparacino. At an early age, he moved to San Jose which has been his home for 81 years. James was a WWII Army
veteran and worked for San Jose Steel Co. for 40+ years. While in the Army, James met his future wife Dorothy in Bagheria, Sicily. Dorothy passed away in 1955. James is survived by three children and their spouses, Vince (Wendy), Mario, Philip (Joyce), 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. James had two loves in his life. First and foremost was his family and second was pitching fast pitch softball. A well known pitcher in the San Jose area where he was known as the "Fireball King". James was inducted into the San Jose-Santa Clara County Softball Hall of Fame on March 5, 1982. James will be greatly missed by his family. Private services were held by his family to celebrate his life.
