Michael O'Keefe
April 18th 1951- Nov. 26th 2012
Resident of Los Gatos
Michael T. O'Keefe passed into God's arms on November 26th 2012. Born in San Jose on April 18th 1951. Loving and devoted son of James and Alexandria O'Keefe. Friend, companion, sweetheart and devoted husband to Leela Rogotzke-O'Keefe. Mentor, teacher and greatest father a son could wish for to Jeremy O'Keefe. Loving big brother to Thomas, Monica, Moira and Julie. Cherished Uncle to many nieces and nephews and great nephew. Loyal friend to many. Michael spent 40 years as a commercial shrimper in the South San Francisco Bay, and when he wasn't working he went fishing. To his credit he built and ran two of the sweetest beam trollers in the shrimping fleet. In the true old world style he built all his own nets. His son now carries on his legacy of commercial fishing with the boat and nets Michael built. While the Angels in Heaven rejoice at his return, he will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Memorial services to be held Dec. 9th 12pm to 4pm at the South Bay Yacht Club, 1491 Hope St. Alviso Ca. For a celebration of Michael's Life.
