Ottavio (Bob) Ercolini died peacefully in his sleep due to colon cancer. He led a full and energetic life and will be missed immensely by many family and friends.
Bob was born the fifth of eight children of Italian and Spanish immigrants. He was raised on a ranch in San Leandro, CA. He later went to school in San Francisco, married and served in the Navy during WWII
. After the war, Bob started his trade as a carpenter. He later built his home in Millbrae. Bob retired from UCSF with 29 years of service as a carpenter superintendent. After his retirement, Bob was extremely active playing golf, traveling, securing his masters in bridge and involved in his family's lives.
Bob is survived by his sons Steven and Larry, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
His memorial Mass will be on Saturday, January 11 at 11 am at St. Matthias Catholic Church, Redwood City. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1685 Cordilleras Rd., Redwood City, 94062.
