Resident of Foster City, CA.
Phil Stelling, age 71, died unexpectedly in his home on June 23, 2014.
Phil was born in San Francisco to Margaret and Roland Stelling. In 1964 he graduated with honors from Cal Poly University. He became an Enrolled Agent and began a successful tax practice. He was past president of the
Foster City Chamber of Commerce, an active Rotarian and on the board of several local organizations. Phil was well known for his generous and outgoing personality.
On September 17, 1983 Phil and Justine were married. They had a happy and comfortable life together, enjoyed entertaining their many friends, and traveled often. Each year Phil visited his cousins in Germany.
He is survived, by Justine, his loving wife, sons Dan and David Morgan, daughter Jennifer Kern, sister-in-law Fran Johnson, daughter-in-law Irina Morgan, grandchildren Cole, Andria, and Christopher Kern, Adel and Nader Morgan, Julie Poklewski, nephew Stephen Johnson, niece Kathryn Weinrich, and great grandchildren Nicholas, Adam, and twins Sarah and Hannah.
A memorial service and celebration of Phil's life will be held at Skylawn Funeral Home at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 2nd. There will be a reception following the service at the Foster City Recreation Center. All are invited.
We love you Phil. You will be greatly missed.
