R. Watson Taylor

R. Watson Taylor
February 7, 1923 - November 12, 2013
Resident of San Jose, California
Our dad, uncle, grampa and friend passed peacefully following a brief illness. He awaits his beloved Norma after 68 years of marriage. He will be sorely missed by his children Dick, Tom (Cathy), and Betty (Brian Wadell). He adored his 7 "grands" and 22 "greats" and we will all cherish our memories of his caring and humor.
His lifelong career in construction included serving as a Carpenter's Mate in the Navy in WW2, a carpenter superintendent for Lew Jones Construction, an estimator for Greystone Cement Contractors, and he owned the R. W. Taylor Company for twenty-three years. He also enjoyed golf, was a fifty-year member in the Masonic Lodge, and was active with the Shriners.
Special thanks to our caregivers Irma, Jennifer, Rita and Rhoda, and Kaiser Hospice's Gail and Cristina. We appreciate you so much.
Services will be held December 7, 2013 at Chapel of Roses, Oak Hill Cemetery, at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kaiser Hospice or charities which feed the less fortunate, would be appreciated.
