Valerie Nicoletti
Resident of San Jose
Valerie Jean Nicoletti found peace on February 28, 2014. Valerie, the daughter of Anthony and Angela Azzarello, was born May 31, 1952. She grew up in the North Beach section of San Francisco and attended Presentation High School, graduating in 1970. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University in 1974 in Social Science. In 2010 she received her MBA from the University of Washington. Her professional career includes teaching at Lynbrook High School and an extensive career in banking. Valerie worked at Barclays, Comerica, Greater Bay, and Wells Fargo Bank. She was the President of Business Banking for Wells Fargo South Bay Region when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2012.
Valerie and Ron have been married for 41 years and have two daughters. The most important roles Valerie undertook were being a wonderful mother to Tracy Lynn Nicoletti and Taryn Noel McCarthy (Gavin) and Nana to Parker Ryan McCarthy. Valerie was the ultimate mentor for her daughters, as she was loving, strong, caring, and "lived life with a lot of spunk." Parker has been the light of her life, giving Nana so many wonderful moments of laughter, joy, and happiness. Valerie also leaves behind her sister, Lori Sargiotto (Don), many uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and close, dear friends.
A Celebration of Valerie's Life will take place on Saturday, March 15 at 10 am at Queen of Apostles Church, 4911 Moorpark Avenue, San Jose 95129 (corner of Mitty Avenue).
Valerie battled courageously for all the people in her life, and especially for her "little Parker."
