Warren Joseph Monahan passed away on March 23rd, 2013 at the age of 83. Warren was born in Newton, MA in 1929 to parents Thomas and Rosemary Monahan. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948-1951 and is a Korean War Veteran. Upon returning from the war, he married Patricia Hollum in 1955. Together, they moved to the Santa Clara Valley and settled in Campbell, California where they have lived for over 50 years. Warren worked for Hill Transformer in San Carlos, as well as Energy Systems in Palo Alto, before becoming the President of Electro Engineering Works in San Leandro; Warren retired from Electro in 1993. Warren was an avid reader, enjoyed wood working and gardening and more than anything was a family man. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia; seven children: Kathleen Monahan, Patrick Monahan (Sarah), Mary Mullins (James), Eileen Vaughn, Lawrence Monahan (Michong), Rose Doheny (John) and Christine Levin (Rod); fourteen grandchildren: Rose, Isabelle and Grace Monahan; Ian and Ethan Mullins; Kathleen Huddleston, Cathie and Michael Vaughn; Alena Monahan; Keenan, Amy, Claire and Grace Doheny; and Lily Levin; and two great-grandchildren, Alexis and Brody Huddleston. Warren is also survived by his siblings: Peter of Providence, RI; Ellen of Bethesda, MD; and Jack of Sacramento, CA. His strength and tender heart will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Invitation is extended to join the family for a Memorial Service from 6 - 8:00 pm Thursday March 28, 2013 at The Campbell Memorial Chapel 231 E. Campbell Ave., Campbell.
