Joseph Norman Wasielewski

Former Santa Clara resident of 30 years

77, Joseph Wasielewski, died Dec. 4, 2010, at his home in Stockton, California with his family by his side.

Joseph was born May 3, 1933, in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, to Joseph and Helen Wasielewski. He retired as an Aerospace Engineer from Ford Aerospace/Lockheed Martin after 34 years. Since his retirement in 1993, he has been living in Stockton, CA, where he enjoyed fishing, photography and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Elvia Wasielewski and his children: Daniel Wasielewski, Kathleen Lindsay, Paul Wasielewski, Suzanne Proffit, Louise Franklin and Patricia Pallares. He was proud to have 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Colette Wasielewski, previously of Thetford Mines, Canada.

Prayer Vigil will be Dec. 7 at 6:30 pm. Spangler Mortuary, 174 N. Sunnyvale Ave., Sunnyvale. Funeral Dec. 8 at 10:00am St. Martins Catholic Church, 593 Central Avenue, Sunnyvale, Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to American Cancer Society. More information can be found at www.spanglermortuary.com.

My deepest sympathies on your Dad's death. I have many fond memories of our visits and family gatherings over the years, especially the summer I spent with you all in Santa Clara. We lost my Dad last winter, so I know how difficult this is. My prayers are with you.
