Susy Yuan-Huey Hung

Resident of San Jose

Susy Yuan-Huey Hung, 72, passed away suddenly on September 20, 2010 at her home in San Jose, California. Ms. Hung was born on April 10, 1938 in Zhejiang, China, to Shui-Chien Hung and Ching-Mie Sun Hung. She was the fourth of five children. Even at a young age, Susy was driven by a will to succeed and able to accomplish whatever she set out to achieve. She graduated from the prestigious Taiwan Provincial Taipei Second Girls' High School in 1957 and top-ranked National Taiwan University in 1961, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. In 1964, she moved to the United States and made Northern California her home. Once there, Ms. Hung became a successful realtor, property manager and real estate owner. Her interests included investing, gardening, cooking and traveling.

In addition to her parents, to whom she devoted many years of care, Ms. Hung was also preceded in death by her oldest brother, Yuan-Chung Hung.

She is survived by her brother and his spouse, James and Sheila Hung; two sisters and their spouses, Della and Peter O'Malley, and Lily and John Louey; sister-in-law, Theresa Hung; and several nieces and a nephew. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 4th at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Roses at Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Avenue, San Jose, California. Arrangements are with Oak Hill Funeral Home.
