7/20/1917 to 12/23/2010

Born in San Francisco, Ca., raised in the Salinas Valley, and lived in the Santa Clara Valley since 1946. Interned in the Poston Arizona Relocation camp during WWII. She was predeceased by two husbands, Noboru Kawasaki in 1967 and Eiichi Sakauye in 2005. She is survived by four sons, James (Jan), Dennis (Cindy), Ronald (Jennifer) and Wayne (Linda) Kawasaki and two stepdaughters, Carolyn (Ernest Kazato) Sakauye and Jane (Donald) May. She has 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 5 siblings and is survived by Mitsuo Kondo, Makiko (aka Mike) Ikemura and Sally Okano. Also survived by many relatives in Japan. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, sewing, quilting, Japanese doll making.

Services will be held on January 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the San Jose Buddhist Church, 640 Fifth St., San Jose, 95112 Funeral arrangements by Willow Glen Funeral Home, 1039 Lincoln Ave., San Jose, 95125. Floral arrangements by Cupertino Florists (408-252-3560). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the San Jose Buddhist Church (address above) or Yu-Ai Kai, 588 N. Fourth St., San Jose, 95112.
