McCarthy-Sigafoos
Resident of Los Gatos
Mary was born on November 8, 1957 in Oakland, Ca and after a short illness entered eternal life on October 9, 2010. She was the beloved wife of Stephen Sigafoos. Loving mother of Michaela McCarthy and grandmother of Katrina and Kylie McCarthy all of San Jose. Mary is survived by her parents John and Elizabeth McCarthy of Santa Rosa, Ca.; sisters Diane Carey of Sebastopol; Debbie McCarthy of Santa Rosa; Janet Boal of Kansas City, Mo; brother John McCarthy of La Canada, Ca; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary graduated from Kaiser High School in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was a champion body surfer in her age group in the early 1970s. She led a very active life that took her and Steve all over the world. Her favorite places to travel were Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. She spent most of her adult life in the restaurant business.
Mary was married to Steve for two wonderful years. They met in 2001. It was love at first glance and they never looked back. They lived for today and always looked to the future. After their wedding in 2008 they were thrilled to be given the opportunity to be together "24/7."
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Star of the Valley Catholic Church, 545 White Oak Drive, Santa Rosa, CA 95409 on Monday October 18, 2010 at 11:30 am.
Local arrangements are under the direction of DARLING FISCHER CAMPBELL MEMORIAL CHAPEL.
