Linda Mattioli
Resident of San Francisco
1917-2010
Died peacefully at home on Saturday, September 25, 2010, at the age of 92. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Dante and their son, Lou. She is survived by her loving daughter Nella (Felice) Taurian; adored grandchildren Jeff (Tami) Taurian & Maria (Jose) Medrano; cherished great-grandson Luciano; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & dear friends both in the US and in Italy.
A native of Eveleth, MN, Linda lived in Italy from 1920 until 1954; upon which time she and her husband immigrated to the United States with their children. They came directly to San Francisco and she lived in the same house, until her death.
The family would like to give a special thanks to our Guardian Angel, Maria. She lovingly took care of mom for the last four years and words cannot express our gratitude.
Linda was a great cook and a wonderful homemaker. She was a loving wife and a tremendous mother. She will be truly missed and remembered always.
Family and friends may visit after 3:00PM on Wednesday and are invited to attend the vigil service also on Wednesday at 7:00PM and the funeral Thursday 10:30AM from the chapels of Valente Marini Perata & Co., 4840 Mission St., SF., thence to Church of the Epiphany, 827 Vienna St., SF, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM. Committal to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma. Online condolences may be offered at www.vmpandco.com
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda's name to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care (1291 E. Hillsdale Blvd., Suite 225, Foster City, 94404).
