Albert Kjar Obituary

Albert William Kjar

Resident of Redwood City, CA

Born on January 23, 1918 in Lexington, NE and passed away peacefully on September 10, 2010 in Redwood City, CA at the age of 92.

Albert was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club, American Legion and the Foster City Golf Club. He was very active in the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI) and at his residence, Woodside Terrace, where he served as President, Treasurer and Librarian.

Albert was preceded in death in 2008 by his wife of 65 years, Bettye Kjar. He is survived by his children, Jim (Judy) Kjar, Bill Kjar, Kirsten (Walt) Wallach and Mike (Maureen) Kjar; 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010, at 2:00 pm at Crippen & Flynn Woodside Chapel, 400 Woodside Rd, Redwood City. Private Interment at Skylawn Memorial Park, San Mateo.

Enjoyed all the golf games that I played with Al while in the Foster City golf club. Sorry to hear about his passing our prayers are with the family.
