Resident of San Jose
Bill Akin, 61, passed away on March 21 at his home in San Jose. He was the fifth of five children born to the late William Peter, Sr., and Lucille (Johnson) Akin. He is survived by his wife, Siobhan, sisters Nancie Kalivoda, Valerie Harmssen and Janet Akin, numerous relatives and friends, and his many animal companions. He was predeceased by his brother, David Akin. Bill's friendship and humor will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family and friends are invited to Bill's Celebration of Life on April 15 at 12 pm at Harry's Hofbrau, 390 Saratoga Ave, SJ.

i knew Bill from school, Hoover Jr High and Lincoln High. I can remember his humor and his quick wit. While Bill and I had our differences from time to time, we developed a good friendship. He was a good person with a good heart. He is missed by many I am sure. RIP Bill.

Bill was a friend for many many years. His humor and intellect were a gift. That gift was enjoyed by many people whenever he was in attendance. My heart goes out to Siobhan and his sisters, family and many friends....his passing leaves a space that could be filled by no other.
