Resident of San Bruno
Longtime Pacifican, James "Flash" Franco passed away September 27th at U.C.S.F. Hospital from injuries sustained in the P.G.E. San Bruno blast and fire. Born September 23, 1952 to Mike and Guadalupe Franco, Jim had resided in Pacifica most of his life except for a short period of time in Las Vegas NV.
His passions in life included; camping, surfing, photography, motorcycles and a profound love of blues music.
Jim is survived by his brother Steve, his niece Carly Grace Franco and his Uncle Hank Uribe of Pacifica and San Jose.
Memorial Services will be held on October 29th at 5pm at St. Peter Church, 700 Oddstad Blvd., Pacifica, CA.
Jim will be cremated and his remains will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Colma, CA at a future date. The family asks that in place of flowers etc. donations be made in his name to the San Mateo County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation at "US Bank" Routing Number 121122676. Duggans-Serra Mortuary

You bring nothing but wonderful memories to me and our classmates! Sure wish you could have been here to see the Giants win!
