Eric Vanderwyk Obituary

Resident of Santa Clara
Eric Vanderwyk passed away on Sunday, August 5th after an 8-year battle with cancer. Eric was born in Redwood City, California and lived most of his life in Santa Clara and Cupertino where he graduated from Monta Vista High School in 1978. He began working in the electronics industry after high school. His most recent years were at Nemco Electronics.
Eric is survived by his wife, Deborah and his daughters Analiese and Courtney as well as his mother, Francisca, two sisters Monique and Kim and brother, Gjalt.
On Sunday, August 12th, at 2:00 p.m., we will be celebrating Eric's life at the Cusimano Family Colonial Mortuary at 96 W. El Camino Real, Mountain View.
In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to be made in Eric's memory to Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). These can be made online at www.cci.org, click on "donate."
On Tuesday, August 14th we will lay Eric to rest. Mass will be held at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m., located at 1971 Saint Lawrence Drive, Santa Clara. Thereafter, we will go to Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos.

I hadn't seen Eric since our Monta Vista days, but I remember him as never being in a bad mood. He always had a grin for everyone. My sincere condolences, and a donation will go to CCI in Eric's memory.
