Josie was born on January 28, 1925 in Decatorville, MO and went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2013 in San Jose, CA. She was preceded in death by her huband, Charley of 57 years, her infant daughter, Bonnie and her son, Charles. She is survived by a large, loving family, including two sons and daughters-in-law, Sam and Helen of San Jose, Willie and Jan of Lodi and a daughter-in-law, Judy of San Jose. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren Denise and husband, Dennis, Mike and wife, Tonya, Bill and wife, Carolyn, Diana and husband, Joaquin, Brenda, Angela and Dawn And doubly blessed with 12 great grandchildren, Ryan, Samantha, Chaz, Rachel, Alex, Jacob, Megan, Jack, Michael, Joshua, Elijah, and Sydney. She is also survived by her older brother and his wife Harold and Hazel McGuire of Livermore, CA and many loving nieces and nephews from CA to Oklahoma.
Josie was a hard working, family loving woman who was happiest when she could cook a big meal for her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will be on Thursday 7/11 from 4-8pm at Lima Family Milpitas Fremont Mortuary at 48800 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont. Her service will be held at Christ Community Church at 1000 S. Park Victoria Dr. Milpitas, on Friday, 7/12 at 11:00 am with a lunch following. A short graveside service will be held back at Lima Mortuary at 2:30 pm for those who would like to attend.
