Margrita Hernandez

Margarita Rivas Hernandez Resident of Gilroy She was born May 16, 1913 in San Carlos Mexico. At 3 months old, her home became Del Rio, Texas. She was devoted to her parents, Antonio Leos Rivas and Elena Luna Rivas. Her late brothers and sisters were Ricardo Rivas, Jesus Rivas and Andrea Rivas. She loved them very much. She took her last breath Saturday October 6, 2012 at 7:40 am. Since July 1943 she and her late husband Manuel M. Garcia made their home in San Jose, Ca. Their three children are Mary Lou Mazzone of Gilroy, Oscar Garcia (wife Lupita) of Gilroy and Manuel J. Garcia, (wife Pam) of Paradise, Ca. Margarita and her second husband, Jose G. Hernandez were happily married for 24 years and lived in Gilroy. She was blessed with the following grandchildren: The late Christopher Garcia, Jeff Mazzone (wife Monica) , Jason Mazzone of Gilroy, Maria Elena Garcia of Paradise, Ca, Danny Garcia (wife Araceli) of Gilroy and Oscar Roberto (wife Angie) of Arizona. Her beautiful Great Granddaughters are, Mariesa Mazzone of Gilroy, Jaylene Mazzone of Gilroy, Aleah Garcia of Arizona, and Ariana and Azelia Garcia of Gilroy. She loved and was loved by all her nieces and nephews and extended family and friends. She lived at Wheeler Manor in Gilroy and attended Live Oak Adult Day Services. All of us will miss her. Viewing and visitation start at 5 pm and Rosary at 7 pm on Friday October 12 at Oak Hill Funeral Home, at 300 Curtner Avenue at Monterey Streets in San Jose, Ca. Burial will be Saturday Oct 13th at 10 am at Chapel of the Oaks at Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and Friends are invited to join us.
