Mark Cannon

Resident of San Jose, CA

Age 57, passed away suddenly July 30, 2012.

Born to Byron Cannon Jr. and Betty Erickson on May 23, 1955 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Mark graduated in 1973 from Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, CA and married Dawn shortly thereafter in 1976. In the years that followed he worked as a hard rock miner. He mined for elements such as copper, silver, platinum and uranium in mines that stretched throughout the Pacific northwest and as far as the Ozarks. Mark returned to California in 1986 and began his love of carpentry. He was known for his attention to detail, creativity, and intricacy with his projects that extended throughout the bay area. In his final years, Mark was an avid outdoorsman, frequently enjoying activities such as bike riding and kayaking.

Mark is survived by his parents Byron and Betty, his brothers Byron and Todd, his children Kirk and April, and grandchildren Aidan and Elijah whom he loved dearly.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, at 10 am at Westhope Presbyterian Church in Saratoga.
