Perry Taub Obituary

Perry Taub Resident of Rancho Mirage Passed away at home on February 23, 2013. He was born in Chicago IL to Theodore and Judith Taub on April 21, 1956. Soon thereafter the family moved to Los Altos, CA. Perry had a wonderful childhood traveling with his family. In his late teens he hiked 'the Hawaiian Islands with friends. Perry received a BA in Journalism from UC Santa Cruz. Being a natural people person Perry's first job was at the Hyatt at Union Square in San Francisco after several years there he moved to Southern California to take a job with a sales position with a little known company called FHP. After years with them he started his own Group Health Brokerage firm. He focused on hotels. The Four Seasons, the Ritz Carlton, Parker Meridian were just a few of his clients. Perry and Charles, his partner started to slow down, first in Newport Beach, CA, then Rancho Mirage, CA. Perry is survived by his partner of 32 years Charles Church, Dr. Mary Taub and Dr. John Taub, St. Louis, MO. Funeral arrangements will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28th at Hills of Eternity Memorial Park, 1301 El Camino Real Road, Colma, CA 94014.

I was just thinking about Perry, while gazing at his parent's bench that he gave me, that is outside my living room window. Then I read a new post by his sister, the next day. That is cosmic! Perry's spirit is still with us! Best Wishes, Karen Kaplan

Just received my book from my 40th h.s. reunion. So sad to hear of Perry's passing. He had such a wonderful spirit and I still have the yearbook where he signed his name and placed the word esq. after it. I remember thinking at age 17 how unique that was. Rest in peace, sweet friend.

I searched Perry Taub on the internet and I am shocked to read that he died! I met Perry at Camp Tawonga when I was @ 10 years old. Perry went to Temple Beth Am in Los Altos and I did too. We also went to UCSC. He was like my brother. I took care of his dogs in LA @ 1990 when he and Charles went travelling. I haven't seen Perry since @ 2000. The bench he gave me after his parents died, is still in my yard. I always think about Perry when I sit on it. I am wondering how he died, where he is buried or cremated, etc. Condolences to Charles and Perry's family. My email is: [email protected]

I went to junior high with Perry (and also Laura Evins). I'm sorry for your loss. I wasn't close with him after that but the fact that I remembered him after 43 years means that he was someone who definitely stood out in our lives, even then.

I went to high school with him and attended the same synagogue. I remember Perry as always being the life of the party and he was truly a people person. We had a wonderful time catching up at the last class reunion and he will be missed.

Dear Charlie, I am so sorry to hear your sad news. I will always hold Perry dear in my heart...he was instrumental in getting me to my first meeting. It was a Friday night, I could not find the meeting...as I was walking back to my car, Perry was making his way to the meeting and said something to the effect...I bet I know what you boys are looking for (I was with a friend , holding my hand to get me to my first meeting) I will be forever grateful for his reaching out, his sense of humor...(we are all :but trusted servants:)...I am sure you miss him terribly.
