Resident of Cupertino
Roy "Chester" Hook, of Cupertino California passed away on June 22, 2013. He was born in Grandfield, Oklahoma on July 25, 1929 to the late Roy Earl and Millie Hook. Resided in Mtn. View from 1955 -1989, he then moved to Los Banos until is wife Lois passed away in 2009. He is survived by his son Roy and daughter in-law Lorraine, of Cupertino CA, grandchildren Hillary, Courtney and Logan, great-granddaughter Charlotte, his sisters Lucy Holland, Hazel Clark, brother Jim "Bruce" Hook and uncle Ira Hook. Service will be held at Alta Mesa Funeral Home located at 695 Arastradero Road Palo Alto, California at 12pm Thursday June 27th.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association San Jose Walk to End Alzheimer's. The team name is CHESTER'S CRUSADERS.

Grandpa, you were the one that gave me my love of baseball. You were the one I loved to watch read the paper. You loved your coffee black and about as hot as lava. You were tough but always so kind to me. You're smile made everyone smile in return. I will miss you every day. I will tell Charlotte about you and pass on your memory. I love you with all my heart and soul. Give grandma a big kiss for me.
