Ruby Azevedo Obituary

Ruby L. Azevedo

Resident of San Jose

3/11/20 - 7/31/12

She was born to Leo and Annie Ankenbauer in Strawn Texas, where she grew up. As a young adult she moved to Sunnyvale met and married the late Andre Azevedo. There they started their family.

The debilitating effects of Alzheimers, which challenged her in later life, could not dampen her wonderful spirit and sassy sense of humor. She was a sweet and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Ruby is survived by her children, Andre Azevedo, Janet Lombardo (Frank), Victoria Shumate (Jerry) Paula Jurich (Marty). Her six grandchildren, Anna, Gina, Chelsea, Christy, Tanner and Jade. Great grandchildren Joeseph, Emilia and Logan. Step grandchild Mark Shumate (Tracie) Step grandchildren Megan, Kristen and Justin.

At her request there will be no services. A special thanks to Valley Pines of Morgan Hill and Jamels Homecare of Gilroy for the excellent care they gave our mother.

Hi Paula,
Sending our heartfelt sympathies on the passing of your Mom. Martha and I lost our Mom on 01/26/2012. She was also born in 1920. These ladies were certainly great examples of strength, dignity, sense of humor, and love for their family. Please know our prayers and thoughts are with you and ALL your family. Condolences, Linda Rendler
