Siegfried Pfendt Obituary

Siegfried Pfendt Oct. 25, 1935 - Jan. 4, 2013 Resident of Los Altos Siegfried Pfendt passed away peacefully at his home on January 4th, 2013. He immigrated to the United States from Europe as a teenager in 1951 with his mother and brothers. He met his wife of 52 years, Eva Havas, in Buffalo, NY. Shortly after they wed, they moved to the Bay Area. Siegfried enjoyed a successful professional civil engineering career and retired after 24 years with the City of San Jose. He maintained an interest in soccer, history and world events throughout his life and he never lost his gratitude for and appreciation of life in America. Siegfried is survived by his wife Eva, son Karl, daughter Greta Torry, 4 grandchildren and two brothers. Parkinson's impacted his family and donations can be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation (www.pdf.org).
