Amada De Francesco Obituary

Amada "Amy" Santos- Ocampo De Francesco 6/23/1925 - 12/20/2009 Born in Manila, Philippines, Amy died peacefully on Dec. 20, 2009 in San Jose, California at age 84. Predeceased by her husband Rio De Francesco and parents Atty. Antonino Santos-Ocampo, Sr.& Juanita Galvez of Manila, Philippines. An accomplished pianist & composer, Amy was in Penn State University's human kinetics programs for 24 years accompanying ballet dancers & composing music for ballet. Amy took PhD courses in music composition at Indiana University & presented a Doctorial Chamber Recital in 1963 Finished Master of Music in Composition at De Pauw University in Indiana as a scholar. Graduated CUM LAUDE from Centro Escolar University, Manila-Bachelor of Music degree. Amy is survived by her sister Cecilia Caampued & brother-in-law Hernando Caampued, of San Jose, CA; 3 brothers & a sister in the Philippines; 19 nephews/nieces & 10 grand-nephews/nieces. Funeral Service is as follows: VISITATION: Sunday, Dec. 27 1pm-9pm: Lima Fam. Mortuary, 48800 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94539. Rosary at 7pm. MASS: Monday, Dec. 28, 11am St. Victors Church, 3108 Sierra Road, San Jose, CA 95132. INTERMENT to follow at LIMA Mortuary, Fremont, CA.
